What You're Signing Up For

This is beta software. Practice is incomplete, under active development, and will have bugs. Features will change, break, or disappear without notice. We might reset all data before public launch.

You're helping us build something great. Your feedback shapes what Practice becomes. We're grateful you're here.

Your Commitments

By joining the beta, you agree to:

1. Test and Give Feedback

  • Use Practice as intended (creative hobby tracking and sharing)

  • Report bugs when you encounter them

  • Share honest feedback about what works and what doesn't

2. Keep It Private

  • Don't share screenshots, videos, or details about Practice publicly

  • Don't post about features, bugs, or your experience on social media

  • You can tell friends "I'm testing a creative hobbies app" but no specifics

  • Don't share your TestFlight invite or try to get others into beta without permission

Why: We're still figuring things out. Public details before launch could be misleading or hurt our ability to iterate.

3. Accept Data Collection

We collect the same data the final app will need:

  • Your email, profile information, and account details

  • Photos and videos of your creative projects

  • Session data (when you worked on projects)

  • Comments, celebrations (likes), and who you follow

  • Usage analytics to understand what features work

4. Understand Data Loss Risk

We might delete all beta data before public launch.

  • Download any photos you want to keep

  • Don't rely on Practice as your only backup for creative work

  • We'll give advance notice if we're resetting data, but can't guarantee data preservation

5. Follow Our Community Guidelines

Even in beta, Practice is a cozy space:

  • Share your creative work

  • Be kind and supportive

  • No harassment, hate speech, or spam

  • We'll remove content or users who don't fit the vibe

6. Use for Personal Testing Only

  • Beta access is for personal, non-commercial use

  • Don't try to monetize your participation

  • Don't use Practice for business purposes during beta

What We Promise

We will:

  • Listen to your feedback (though we might not implement everything)

  • Fix critical bugs as quickly as we can

  • Give you advance notice if we're resetting data

  • Keep your data private - we're not selling it or sharing it

  • Treat you with respect and gratitude

We won't:

  • Guarantee anything will work

  • Promise your account will transfer to public launch

  • Keep features you love if they don't work for the product

  • Implement every feature request

  • Provide guaranteed timelines for fixes

Our Rights

We can:

  • End the beta program at any time

  • Remove you from beta for any reason (including violations of Community Guidelines)

  • Delete your account if you violate terms

  • Change these terms as beta evolves

  • Wipe all data if needed for development

You can:

  • Quit anytime by deleting your account

  • Request your data be deleted

  • Provide feedback on anything

  • Report bugs or issues

The Legal Stuff

Age Requirement

Practice is for users 18 and older. By joining beta, you confirm you're at least 18 years old.

No Warranty

Practice beta is provided "as is" with no guarantees it'll work. Expect bugs, crashes, data loss, and features that don't work as intended.

Limitation of Liability

We're not responsible if the app:

  • Crashes or loses your data

  • Doesn't work as expected

  • Causes you frustration or wasted time

  • Has security issues during beta

It's beta software - these things happen. Use at your own risk.

Your Content

You own what you create. By posting to Practice, you give us permission to:

  • Display your content in the app

  • Use it to improve the product

  • Show it to other beta testers

But it's still yours. We won't sell your creative work or use it for anything outside of building Practice.

Agreement to Final Terms

When Practice launches publicly, you'll need to agree to our full Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Beta participation doesn't guarantee you'll get to keep using Practice if you don't agree to final terms.

Privacy

Your privacy matters to us:

  • We collect data to build Practice, not to sell

  • You can request your data anytime: privacy@practicemaking.com

  • You can delete your account anytime in Settings

Changes to This Agreement

We might update this agreement as beta evolves. If we make major changes, we'll notify you. Continued use means you accept the updates.
