Welcome to the Practice Private Beta!
Beta FAQs & Instructions
-
You must be an iOS user to be a part of the Practice private beta (we’ll launch Android and web, eventually!).
The app isn’t publicly available in the App Store yet. Instead, we’re using Apple’s TestFlight, which is a simple way to try early versions of apps and share feedback.
Here’s how it works:
Request an invite to the Beta: fill out this form, and we’ll get back to you soon via email.
Install Testflight & Practice: You’ll receive a link via email to Testflight. You’ll need to download the Testflight app, and then you’ll see Practice ready to download.
Stay up to date: Whenever we release a new build, TestFlight will let you know—just update like you would any other app.

There are a few features we are still working on that will be launching soon (be sure to check for updates). But for now, here are some known gaps:
you can’t search for, follow, or unfollow other users
all of your Practice sessions will be shared in the public feed
only some hobbies are supported
How it works
COMING
SOON!
Discover
Find your hobby.
Get matched with a creative hobby that matches your budget, interests, time, and personality.
Nurture
Track your practice.
See your patterns and activity alongside the work of other makers in a safe and supportive environment.
Grow
See your progress.
It’s not about the algorithm or the finished product. It’s about creating joy.
We can’t wait to hear about your experience!
As you use the app, we want to hear from you. What feels natural, delightful, awkward, confusing, frustrating, and anywhere in between. What’s missing—or could be better. And we are curious to learn if being a part of Practice made you feel more inclined to make things, and what, if any, impact that had on your life.
We’ll reach out in the next few weeks to get your feedback on the app, which we’ll use to improve the experience for future Practice community members. You can also send feedback (notes, screenshots, bug reports) right inside of TestFlight. Everything comes straight to us, and we’d love to hear what’s working well and what feels rough around the edges. Or you can email beta@practicemaking.com, or call or text us directly if you know us personally!
Thank you so much for giving Practice a try. Let us know if you have any questions!
Your friends,
Erica, Ben and Jake
